We are at our best when we are working with passionate founders working to solve problems that
mean more to them than a paycheck. Some of the entrepreneurs we have worked with in the past
sought to solve big world problems that created some of the most important companies of tomorrow:
What would happen if all business workers were connected?
How can people buy products if they don't have credit cards?
How can I find and manage the vast quantities of information being created today?
We find that many of the very best entrepreneurs working to solve the most challenging problems
struggle to find venture capital simply because they were based in the Midwest. We founded Drive Capital
to fill this void and be the business partner that enables Midwest entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams.
A native of Cincinnati, Chris built his career
investing in emerging technology and healthcare
companies. Prior to founding Drive Capital
Chris was a partner at Sequoia Capital for 6 years,
and before that an investor with Technology Crossover
Ventures. His first job out of school was on the
professional squash circuit where he quickly learned
he was better suited to work with entrepreneurs.
Mark D. Kvamme
Mark was a partner at Sequoia Capital for 12 years,
where he led investments in companies such as
Linkedin, MarkLogic, Cast Iron, and FunnyOrDie.com.
Prior to co-founding Drive Capital, Mark was the
interim Chief Investment Officer and President of
JobsOhio, a nonprofit corporation created to run
the state's economic development activities.
