Born and raised in small-town Ohio, I grew up without a clear picture of what I wanted to do, but I always knew the kind of person I wanted to be. I heard a quote early on that stuck with me: “Focus on who you want to be, not what you want to do.” That mindset shaped everything. Even when school didn’t come easily, building relationships did. I learned to lead with kindness, curiosity, and genuine interest in the people around me, trusting that approach would guide me in the right direction.
What I discovered over time is that my real strength is making people feel appreciated, valued, respected, and heard. Sports were a big part of my life, and they taught me to work hard alongside others who were pushing toward a goal. In college, while studying communication, I assumed my path would lead to a sales role until a message from a recruiter opened my eyes to an entirely new world. I hadn’t planned on Talent Acquisition, but the idea of helping people find roles that could change their lives immediately clicked. So at the ripe age of 22, I took a leap.
Eight years later, I’m grateful I made the jump. I've recruited across multiple industries, including manufacturing, professional services, finance, and healthcare; and I've supported both large organizations and fast-growing startups. Each step reinforced how much I love connecting people with opportunities that match their potential.
Today, I am deepening my tech recruiting experience at Drive Capital, working alongside ambitious and entrepreneurial colleagues who are committed to making a meaningful impact. I am here because I believe great teams change companies, and great companies change lives.
