Meredith Mills

I grew up moving from place to place as a proud military brat, which meant I learned early how to walk into a new room, read it quickly, and build relationships fast. What felt disruptive at the time became the foundation of my career, because talent, at its core, is about connection.

I did not set out to work in venture. I built my career inside high-stakes operating environments where hiring was not theoretical. It was existential. At Talener, I focused on DevOps and Systems Engineering talent. At Yahoo, I started building deep networks in engineering. At WeWork, I grew from technical sourcer to leading technical recruiting, building teams across Information Security, Product Engineering, Data Science, and Product Management. Most recently, I served as Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, managing a team and leading strategic hiring initiatives for one of the nation’s largest public transit systems.

Along the way, I became obsessed with one thing: helping ambitious builders find the people who make scale possible.

I joined Drive to partner directly with founders at that inflection point, when hiring the right engineering or product leader can change the trajectory of a company. I believe great talent is the ultimate unfair advantage, and that world-class teams can and should be built anywhere.

I grew up in New York and recently made the move to Columbus, Ohio. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University. When I am not connecting exceptional talent with founders, you can find me exploring Columbus with my Norfolk Terrier, George.
