Drive Capital’s Talent Program

People are the core of our investment strategy. The Drive Capital Talent Program works closely with our founders to help them build workplaces that attract, align, and motivate talented people. Critically, we also introduce our companies to talent from our growing network of relationships with builders, executives, board members, and advisors. Additionally, we are adding a new function to the program: direct, internal recruiting and search, that will be solely focused on mid to senior product and engineering roles for our companies.

About the Role

Working closely with Drive Capital’s Head of Talent, Talent Acquisition Managers and Investment Partners across the firm, the Senior Technical recruiter will identify and attract top engineering and product talent for Drive Capital’s portfolio companies by stewarding a strong candidate sourcing and cultivation strategy. We view Drive’s talent function as a critical part of how we accelerate our portfolio companies’ growth. You’ll support our goal of of delivering to the highest standard while maintaining alignment with the long-term interests of Drive Capital and our companies by:

  • Collaborating with portfolio company leadership to understand their talent needs and defining recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

  • Developing and maintaining a network of relationships with potential candidates, and industry professionals, to proactively identify and recruit top talent.

  • Screening resumes and conducting initial interviews to assess technical and/or product skills, qualifications, and fit with the portfolio company culture.

  • Facilitating the interview and selection process, including scheduling interviews and providing feedback to candidates and portfolio company leadership.

  • Negotiating offers and closing top candidates.

  • Continuously updating and improving the technical recruiting process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong technical background and extensive experience recruiting engineering and product talent. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of professionals.

The Senior Technical Recruiter will be a part of a small team, and then will grow based upon the success of early iterations of this offering and the demand generated from our portfolio companies. They will also work closely with the founders and leadership teams of our portfolio companies, providing best practices, tools, and advice to help them execute successful recruiting strategies. This role will be on-site and based in Columbus.

You’ve likely spent 3-5 years recruiting for venture-backed tech companies either in-house, through an agency, or search firm work.
